DV RAINSCREEN

OVERVIEW

Rainscreen panel systems were first explored and developed in Europe in the early 1960s. The intent was to create a wall system that eliminates water infiltration with exterior cladding while allowing the wall to breathe. This process creates a “double-wall”. The combination of the metal panel skin, furring channel and moisture barrier create an “air-space” and line of defense from water intrusion. This system allows for any moisture that travels behind the cladding system the ability to direct water away from the wall and “dry-out”. Division V uses 4mm composite to create the DV Rainscreen system. This product is manufactured using either a (PE) polyethylene core or a (FR) fire retardant aluminum composite material. Panels are highly customizable and will enhance any building exterior.
